In some regions, the waiting times for diagnosis are now over 10 years. With more and more awareness ADHD, the tsunami of people needing diagnosis and support has begun.

My own journey inspired me to put together some notes for friends. Those notes became a booklet. That booklet has now become a book.

It seems, like many, I am feeling shocked both by the genuine sadness and simultaneous appreciation for the passing of an incredibly steadfast and selfless matriarch of our nation.
Perhaps it is made more emotional by my memories as a 7 year old, when living in Kenya, and she visited Thika. Ignoring the armed Kenyan secret service security that lined the road, my mum pushed me through and onto the road in front of HRH.

Her smile is remembered by so many. I think most of us crave stability and calm. Most of us respect a person who listens and thinks before responding. In a country that seems so unstable at the moment, a figure in a position of power who was neither corrupt nor desperately sating their own ego is someone to be admired. And a person to do that for nearly a whole century is someone to be revered.
