Earlier this week we had the pleasure of working with the Fix the Fells to maintain a section of footpath. This vital work helps to make the use of our incredible mountain areas more sustainable and accessible. Our students enjoyed contributing to the upkeep of this section of path and have gained valuable insight into the work that goes on in the mountains.

The skills are really coming together for these students now. Over the last few months they have spent time climbing, caving and now canyoning which has allowed them to ‘layer’ up a wide range of skills and techniques. This was seen today as they progressed through a canyon trip independently making good decisions and and knew what to do at every point. Awesome work team 🤙

Just back from a phenomenal expedition in the Assynt area of Scotland. Our main aim was to canoe in to walk up Suilven which is a dramatic mountain in a very remote area. With excellent weather we made it up a day earlier than planned which meant we were able to walk up Cul Mor later in the week.
It is difficult to express the ambition and value of these expeditions but they really are life affirming experiences for everyone. As always our incredible students demonstrated nothing but the highest levels of reliability, independence, competence and resilience. Here is a small selection of photos with more to follow.
