Some of our L2 Site Carpentry Apprentices took part in a 2 day intensive roofing course with tutor Charlie this week to support them towards EPA.

Year 10 Taster Day this week was a whirl wind of nearly 40 bird boxes flying out the door in the Carpentry & Joinery workshop... plus some puzzle challenges!

These Level 2 Architectural Joinery Apprentices learnt so many new skills in not only setting out, marking out and manufacturing their side tables, but also testing their creativity and design ideas to make a practical piece to treasure. I hope it serves as a reminder throughout their careers to see how much their knowledge and abilities develop!

Our Architectural Joinery Apprentices got out of the workshop today for some hands-on installation experience.
They rolled up their sleeves and installed the Mud Kitchen the Construction Skills class has been making for Dean Barwick Primary School!
This task meant we could work on team building and communication alongside their tool skills in a different environment.

We had the pleasure of teaching a short training course for staff needing to upskill in Cumberland Council. Many things learnt and smiles all around as they left with new and improved skills and confidence with tools!
