After a few fantastic weeks in the Alps, enjoying sunshine, big mountains and plenty of adventures, Kris is now back in the Lake District — with sunshine and beautiful fells to enjoy here too! ☀️🏔️
Here are a few photos from the fabulous mountains around Chamonix. The scenery was, as always, incredible, although the snow line is worryingly high and there were some definite changes compared with previous years.
Still, what a wonderful few weeks in the mountains. So many amazing views and memories to bring home! ❤️🏔️

Kris our ML Course Director was out on Tuesday in Langdale running an ML preparation course. A quick start in the classroom allowed lots of topics to be covered. Including; weather, how an assessment looks and D-Logs. Then onto the hill for a more detailed look at rope work, navigation, group management and lots of environmental knowledge shared. The day was so lovely Kris totally forgot to take photos of anything other than some of her favourite plants! 🌸🌺🤣

Felt lucky to have such supportive assessors - create a relaxed atmosphere during what is a stressful and strenuous experience, and provided the perfect balance of terrain mix, opportunities to shine, navigational challenges to rise to and places to enjoy with my fellow candidates. The overall experience of assessment had clearly been carefully curated and I felt it gave us all the best chance to show what we could do. Thank you Kris and John.

Bag is packed and ready to go 🗻🎒

John is currently out with the assessment expedition, and I’ll be joining them first thing in the morning. Glad the heatwave has passed… but the big question is: will the rain hold off for night navigation? 🌧️🧭
