We do the work we do at Mighty Oak because we love it, because each of us have been called to serve the young people who come through our doors. It’s our genuine pleasure, and the progress we observe each young person make is abundant in its own reward. However, to receive a thank you, especially from another school, is a heartwarming and inspiring experience for our unique and dedicated team. 🌺

Mighty Oak Kendal visited Abbot Hall Art Gallery in town today. Our guide, Annie, gave us a tour of the gallery this morning, telling us about the paintings in the collection and encouraging us to have a go at sketching some of the pieces. This afternoon we created our own versions of some of the portraits in the collection, focusing particularly on how we can use different colours to represent skin tones. It was a fabulous day, and Annie was incredibly impressed by all our wonderful students. 🌳 🎨 ✍️ 👏
