In KS1 we introduce challenges so the acorns have been exploring the challenge areas. This is the textile area where they are getting to grips with cutting textiles, threading needles and simple stitches. Can’t wait to see what they create when they master these skills.

Two little road sweepers in the tiny acorns today! Love how they get an idea and make it a reality! How do you become a road sweeper- fasten brush onto the front of your scooter. There was quite a bit of independent trial and error to get it to work but they were soon zooming round the outdoor area sweeping up the sand!!!

Well that was an adventure. No proms or fancy parties- we do year 6 the wild way! We packed our year 6s off and sent them off to Scotland this year (with some teachers too) and they wild camped, spending the day building their dens and a fire. They cooked a lovely evening meal of chilli and quesadillas on the open fire with smores for pudding! Then they bedded down in their dens for a night under the stars!!! 🌟 a massive thank you to the team who took them and to our lovely hosts who allowed us to use their land!
