❄️🚣‍♂️ Winter canoeing at its best 🚣‍♀️❄️
Cold hands, snowy fells and big smiles all round in the Coniston area today.
Before anyone even hit the water, these young people were already learning — lifting canoes together, communicating clearly and supporting one another as a team.
Winter residentials like this build far more than paddling skills:
✔️ Teamwork & leadership
✔️ Resilience in challenging conditions
✔️ Confidence outside comfort zones
With great conditions on the water and the Lake District at its wintery best, this was outdoor learning in action — real experiences, real outcomes.
👏 Huge credit to the young people (and the teachers who make days like this possible).
