🌊🐚 Year 1 had a fab day today! 🐚🌊
The children loved taking part in a brilliant seaside history workshop, exploring what a day at the seaside was like in the past through stories, objects and hands-on activities.
They also looked fabulous all dressed up for the day! 😍 Those who had school lunch thoroughly enjoyed the special seaside-themed meal of fish, chips and ice cream 🍦🐟.
We hope your children have shared their beautiful crafts and learning with you at home. A wonderful day all round! 😊 A huge thank you to all our parent volunteers today - wouldn't have been possible without your help!

It has been a lovely first couple of days of the school holidays seeing so many children enjoying Think Sport's Easter Camp. Looking forward to seeing what sports and activities they get up to for the rest of the week and hopefully to many more holiday clubs at KRPS.

Year 5 had a fantastic trip to Box End Park on Wednesday for a SUP taster session. Resilience, co-ordination and balance - all put to the test! The weather was glorious and the children did remarkably well participating in an activity that was new to them. It's safe to say they had fun and hopefully slept well afterwards. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff (who were naturals!) and of course thank you parents for your ongoing support!

Happy World Book Day! We started the day with a fantastic assembly led by Mrs Syred and Mrs Siong, AKA Alice (in Wonderland) and William Shakespeare and the children have enjoyed exploring our whole school book The Midnight Panther by Poonam Mistry with their teachers and other teachers in their phase. We have also enjoyed lots of D.E.A.R (drop everything and read) time. Thank you to our whole school community for supporting World Book Day with the fantastic dressing up, mystery readers and book donations ready for tomorrow's book swap. The children are having a wonderful day, full of reading!

Commando Joe - the children have really enjoyed developing skills from the RESPECT framework (Resilience, Empathy, Self-Awareness, Passion, Excellence, Communication, Teamwork) this half term through Commando Joe sessions. The after school group has followed the journey of Kira Salak - an activist who smuggled herself into the Democratic Republic of Congo to protect the mountain gorillas, risking her life because of her passionate belief that no creature should die at the hands of poachers. Great teamwork, empathy and resilience are some of the values that they have developed through the missions.

It has been wonderful to welcome the children back after the holidays. They are thrilled with the new play area outside, which can be used all year round for mini diggers, balancing on tyres and much more. We really appreciate the donations of toys we have had to enhance our provision at lunch and welcome any further toys such as diggers, old kitchen utensils/pots and pans for mud-kitchen play, guttering for sliding cars down and dressing up. Thank you very much for your support.
