Why not pop along to the Kelty Coal Race this Saturday, 29th August, for a fantastic day of family fun, entertainment and community spirit! ❤️🖤

There will be plenty to see and enjoy, including:

The fun starts from 12 noon, with activities continuing throughout the afternoon until around 3:45pm.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to get out, enjoy the atmosphere and be part of a special Kelty tradition and community event. 🌈🎉

💛 Random Acts of Kindness Spreading Smiles in Our Community 💛

Today, we took some time to spread a little kindness and brighten people’s day! 😊

We headed out into our community to hand out inspirational quotes and a little sweet treat, with one simple goal to make someone smile and remind them that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference. 🍬✨

It was so lovely to see the smiles, surprise and gratitude from the people we met. Sometimes, a kind word, a thoughtful message or a small gesture is all it takes to lift someone’s spirits. 💕

Kindness costs nothing, but it can mean everything to someone. 🌈

We hope our little acts of kindness brought some positivity to people’s day and maybe inspired others to pass it on. 💫

Various classes for boys & girls aged under 5 to 18+ years old. Classes held at Scout Hall, Kelty.
Classes start back week beginning 10th August!

Dancers will be given the opportunity to perform at our annual show at Lochgelly Centre on 7th November 2026!

🌞 Two Weeks of Summer Holiday Fun! 🌞

As we head into the two week summer holiday break, we hope you all have a wonderful time making special memories together.

To help keep little ones entertained, we’ve attached an activity chart packed with simple, low cost ideas to inspire creativity, outdoor play and quality family time.

Although there are 30 activities, feel free to pick and choose the ones that suit your family over the next couple of weeks.

💛✨ From climbing trees to learning their 1, 2, 3s and A,B,C… where has the time gone? ✨💛

As our days together at Clever Clogs are coming to an end, we’re finding ourselves looking back at all the precious memories we’ve shared. It feels like only yesterday they walked through our doors, some holding tightly to a grown up’s hand, and now they’re ready to take their biggest adventure yet.

We’ve watched them grow from shy little faces into confident, kind and curious children. We’ve celebrated first friendships, wiped away tears, shared endless laughter, listened to wonderful stories, and cheered every milestone along the way.

Every muddy puddle jumped in, every tower built, every picture painted, every song sung, every story shared, and every giggle has become a treasured memory that we’ll carry with us.

Now it’s time for a new chapter. As they put on their school uniforms and head off to school, our hearts are filled with pride. Saying goodbye is never easy, but we know they are more than ready to spread their wings and fly.

To all of our amazing Big Clogs children, thank you for filling our days with smiles, laughter, hugs, and unforgettable moments. It has been a privilege to watch you grow, learn and flourish.

Always be kind, always be brave, keep asking questions, dream big, and never stop believing in yourselves.

Good luck, little ones. You’ll always have a special place in our hearts, and you’ll always be part of the Clever Clogs family. 💛

⚽🌍 The World Cup excitement is here! 🌍⚽

Over the next few weeks, our children will be exploring different countries from around the world through lots of fun activities, crafts, music, food tasting, stories, and games!

We will also be enjoying lots of sports games and football inspired activities to keep us active, moving, and having fun! 🏃‍♂️⚽

To join in the excitement, we would love the children to wear their favourite football shirts or football-themed tops on our World Cup celebration days! ⚽👕

We can’t wait for lots of fun, learning, and teamwork as we celebrate together.

✨ Learning Through Play: Understanding Schemas✨

Did you know that when children repeat certain actions during play, they’re often building important skills and understanding the world around them? These repeated patterns of behaviour are called schemas.

You might notice your child-

🚗 Lining toys up neatly
🧺 Carrying objects from place to place
🔄 Spinning wheels or turning lids
🏗️ Building fences or enclosing spaces
👀 Looking at things from different angles
✈️ Throwing, dropping, or watching things move

These behaviours aren’t “just play” they’re signs of curiosity, problem solving, and growing confidence.

By noticing your child’s interests and joining in their play, you can support their learning in meaningful ways. Offer open ended resources, give them time to explore, and celebrate the way they learn best. 🌟

Every child learns differently, and play is powerful. 💛
