Clentry provides Early Learning and Childcare to children and families across the Kelty community and the wider local area. The nursery is open 39 weeks of the year and can provide flexible patterns of attendance depending on the needs of our families. We have three playrooms, Teddies, Sunbeams and Rainbows, for children aged 3 – 5 and one Early Entrant playroom, Ladybirds, which accommodates elig
ible children aged 2 -3 years. All playrooms are bright, welcoming and well maintained and resources and equipment are of high quality. The children spend lots of time outdoors and the gardens provide rich and challenging opportunities for children to experience fresh air and exercise. Throughout their time in nursery our children enjoy a variety of interesting activities which encourage and support them to learn through play and also promotes their creativity and curiosity. We aim to develop their confidence and independence and help them to establish positive attitudes which will be carried forward as they move onto school and become effective and responsible citizens in their local and wider community. High priority is given to our children’s Health and Wellbeing and they benefit from a varied programme of physical activities throughout the year which include dancing, mini kickers, yoga and opportunities to explore the local woods. Our staff team includes a Head Teacher, Depute Head of Centre, Senior Early Years Officers, Family Support Worker, Nursery Teachers, Early Years Officers, Pupil Support Assistants, Clerical Assistants and Janitorial staff. Our social media channels feature a variety of information from our services and partners, keeping you informed and up to date with what's happening across Fife. We're here to help in any way that we can, and we will always aim to be supportive and respectful in our posts and any comments we respond to. We expect the same of all those contributing to our page. We want our social media channels to be safe, healthy, and open places for discussion and the exchange of views and we have the following house rules to help support that.
- All users must comply with the social media platform's terms of use as well as our own terms of use
- We answer enquiries/messages as soon as possible within working hours
- We will remove, in whole or in part, posts that we feel are inappropriate – for example bullying or harassment - or discriminatory against any individual or group
- You are wholly responsible for any content you post including content you choose to share
We will remove messages (where function allows) and report and/or block users on our social media channels who post messages at us which we believe are:
- abusive or obscene
- deceptive or misleading
- in violation of any intellectual property rights, including copyright
- in violation of any law or regulation
- spam and off-topic content (persistent negative and/or abusive posts in which the aim is to provoke a response)
- promotional material, including links to external websites and promotions
Anyone repeatedly engaging with us using content or language which falls into the above categories will be blocked and/or reported to the associated social media platform. We will not tolerate or respond to abusive messages. We must always remain politically neutral on social media which is why council officers are unable to reply to, endorse or engage with, any content that is of a party political nature. Political issues can be discussed with local councillors.
