Hi everyone, I’m Laura, a dance teacher for m-pulsive dance school. This will be my third year teaching here and I have loved every minute of it. It is an amazing dance family and I am so happy to be a part of it.
A little bit about me...I live with my three amazing girls, my husband and my little dog buddy. When I’m not dancing or teaching dance, I love to draw, paint and sew. I’ve got a few paintings now (almost finished lol) and I’ve made some fab outfits and two giant five foot beanbags. 😀
I’m originally from a place just outside Glasgow and I started my dance journey there in highland at the age of 2. In my teens I started a few ballet, tap and modern classes and I have never looked back since. I did a few musicals and pantos, my fav was hello dolly (part: emengarde) and Aladdin ( part: jasmine) and I decided that my heart lay with performing so I left my job as a business travel consultant (amazing perks) and went off to edinburgh to dance college.
I graduated with my BA hons degree in dance in 2008 and went on to teach dance and perform all over Scotland. My favourite dance styles include musical theatre style jazz and contemporary dance. I even started my own small independent contemporary dance company which performed in Livingston, north Berwick, Glasgow and Edinburgh. I have worked with and for some amazing dancers and choreographers along the way and with each experience I have taken away as much as I can. I’m always learning and developing my skills so I hope with my experience and continued effort to keep learning that I will have lots to inspire and teach your little ones and bigger kiddies.
