She would love to see you - even if you just popped in to say hello and get to know her better.

DRUGS AWARENESS MONTH
Your choices shape your future and you deserve a future you’re proud of. 💙

🧠 Real talk:
Drugs don’t just mess with your health. They mess with your goals, your friendships, your confidence, and the things you’ve worked hard for.

Not everything you hear about drugs is true and not everything you see is safe. Whether it’s va**ng, cannabis, pills, or something someone hands you at a party, it’s okay to have questions.
Staying informed helps you make choices that protect your health, your future, and your wellbeing.

If you’re unsure about something, or just want straight facts without judgement, check out:

Your school nurse is also here to listen, no pressure, no judgement, just support.

⚽️ 🖤 💛 A huge thank you to Fergus Edwards! 💛 🖤 ⚽️

It was fantastic to welcome former KGS pupil and school footballer Fergus Edwards back to Keith Grammar School today.
Fergus kindly donated money from his family and gifted our football teams new footballs and water bottles.

Football was a huge part of Fergus’s school life, and it was wonderful to see him giving back and supporting the next generation of KGS footballers. 👏

Since leaving KGS a decade ago, Fergus has built a successful career in ROV and electrical work and has set up his own business, Edwards Electrics. He also took time to visit our Technical, Maths and PE departments to thank the teachers who supported him during his school days.

Fergus shared stories from his football journey — from Deveronvale, Elgin City and Buckie Thistle to Dufftown, Lossiemouth and Islavale — and encouraged our pupils to stay active for the physical, social and wellbeing benefits.

🏃‍♂️ Fergus is also taking on the Malaga Marathon in November, raising funds for Keith Cancer Link and KGS Football. What an inspiration!

We look forward to welcoming Fergus back to KGS and thank him for staying connected to the school and inspiring the next generation. 💙
A big thank you also to Yellas FC for their generous donation this week! ⚽👏

We are very proud of Thomas Watt, 3K and Cameron Gerrie, 4K, who have both been awarded The Chief Scout’s Gold Award for the high level of participation and skills they have shown over the last two years in The Scouting Organisation.
Both boys have participated in team building activities, personal development skills including organising and completing an expedition which took place over two days. The boys hiked from Portgordon to Boat of Brig along The Speyside Way, camping along the way. Activities which also developed resilience were completed during their summer residential in Kandersteg, Switzerland.

KGS Football Update

There will be trials for the U15 football team who will play in the North of Scotland cup on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd September from 1:30-2pm.

16 pupils will be selected to make up this team. For those not selected, do not be disheartened as there will be lots of opportunities for festivals, tournaments and friendlies for all age groups throughout the year.

Lunchtime football is a huge success with 70 pupils having an enjoyable kickabout on our astroturf! It’s great to see the pupils being active and playing football every single lunchtime!
