Visiting my eldest in Canterbury, so decided to go for a run-explore (hence the portmanteau of run-splore).
Could have done with more than the 4.5hrs sleep, but can’t have it all (thanks to the flatmates for the 5am alarm).
Nice and cool, mixture of city streets, trim trial and woodlands.

Just my thoughts for a Monday. A reminder for myself as much as anyone that needs it ☺️ ❤️

Imagine my shock 🤣🤣 Annual rejection day didn’t let me down.!
That continues my 100% record for well over a decade now, of never getting a ballot place for the London marathon.
F*ck knows what I need to do to get in, or how so many people manage to get in first time or indeed multiple times 🤷‍♂️

17 eventful miles this morning.
Saw a rabbit attacked and killed by a bird of prey, and managed to call the emergency services off my phone is it was so hot and sweaty. I couldn’t cancel the call and had to sheepishly apologise to the operator.
Given the conditions and DOMS from Fridays workout, happy with this.

September 2019 I did my first ever marathon, the New Forest Marathon.

I did absolutely everything wrong and it nearly broke me! I’ve ran a few since then, mostly with some random themes with a lot raised for charity ❤️ I’ve learnt something from them all!

So now, I’ve signed myself up to run my 44th marathon, for my 44th birthday in September, by going back to where it all started.

Let’s see how it goes 🤷‍♂️
