Little Blossoms Day Care Nursery is registered with Ofsted to provide day care for children aged 0-8 years. It is run by a team of qualified staff who aim to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere. Little blossoms first opened as Muffins Private Day Nursery in 1989, then in November 2013 the nursery changed owners and with new owners came a new name Little Blossoms Day care Nursery. Little Blossom

s is located in the basement and first and second floor of semi – detached houses and is situated midway between Keighley and Skipton at the end of the Air Valley Trunk Road in Crosshills. We planed to continue the high standard of care, and have great plans for the future, including expansion and re-furbishment which is almost complete. We are open Monday to Friday 7:30am till 6pm, for more information please contact our management team who with be happy to help you.

What a lovely summer we have had, we have been on exciting trips, made so many memories for children and staff and had lots of fun too ☀️

We are looking for a level 3 nursery practitioner.
The position is full-time (4 days around 36 hours a week) hours between 7:30 am and 6 pm.
You must be fully qualified.
You must:
Have a clean DBS.
Be fun and enthusiastic.
Have a good sense of humour.
Flexible, Patient and a good imagination, if a child wants you to be a pirate you need to be the best one you can be.
Laughter is important with young children and being able to laugh at jokes that you don't understand.
You must be able to sing fun songs and dance with the children.
Enjoy messy play.
Be happy to walk in public places with unknown substances on your clothes.
You must be able to tell everyone in the room you are going to the toilet and feel comfortable dealing with bodily functions.
Must have an inner child. Children love people who are a little crazy and outgoing.

Have knowledge of the EYFS.
Be able to provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care.
Having some knowledge of safeguarding is essential.
You must have experience of childcare and be able to work as part of a team.

Today the butterfly children went on a nature walk into Kildwick 🍃
We created a checklist before heading out of the things we thought we might see on our adventure and ticked them off as we saw them.
One of the children practiced their writing skills adding to our list after spotting a Heron in the canal ✏️.
We had such a lovely morning walk finishing with a little play in the park before heading back to nursery to make nature bracelets with the plants we found along the way🦋

Today our PreSchool children had a trip to Leeds, they enjoyed both a bus and a train.
While in Leeds we visited Leeds City Museum where we saw a very funny puppet show.
We had a look around the museum and found some really interesting things including loads of animal from little Butterflies to a giant Yak!
We had a fantastic day!

Friday our PreSchool children had a trip to Skipton they visited the Aireville Park for a play and picnic lunch before heading to Skipton Library to their Lego event. Then a quick play at different park before heading back to nursery.
Another great summer trip for our PreSchool children before they leave us in September.

Today the Ladybird and Caterpillar Room went for a walk to Sutton Park.
On the way, the children talked about what they could see and the different sounds they could hear.
They pointed out cars, trucks, vans, and even airplanes. The children showing curiosity while developing their communication and observation skills.
At the park, the children did really well climbing the steps to the slide.
They used their imaginations, pretending they were in an ice cream parlour after spotting an ice cream van.
They also enjoyed running, crawling, and exploring the park, developing their gross motor skills, coordination, and confidence as they played together.

Today the butterfly children enjoyed a trip to Ilkley play in the park 🛝
The children enjoyed 4 bus journeys pointing out all of the places that they are familiar with.
At the park we had lots of fun on the bouncy castle and slide developing our confidence and balancing skills 🏰
We then enjoyed a walk along the river where we practiced our throwing skills carefully throwing stones into the river and making some little pools for some fish 🐟
We all enjoyed a picnic by the river exploring nature where we spotted a ladybird and even found a crabs pincer.

It was a wonderful day out full of fun, exploring and opportunities to develop our confidence, physical skills and curiosity about the world around us 😀

The children also saw so ducks and swans 🦆 🦢 while walking to the play area at Farnhill before heading back to nursery.
