Week one completed 😍😍
My new starters and my term time only little one have settled in amazingly and I hope they have had lots of fun!!!
Our week has been all about getting to know each other and making friends and building relationships. 👫👫

Safer sleep training complete ✔️

The EYFS requirements for safer sleeping have been updated, and these changes have taken effect from the 1st of September.

As my parents know, I have already adapted my setting to meet the requirements but as it has now come into effect I thought I would let you all know.

In order to follow the updated requirements and to help ensure every child has a safe, comfortable and relaxing sleep:-

- Children under one year old will sleep in a travel cot. I have bought a new travel cot which meets all British standards.

- Children over one will either sleep in a travel cot or on a sleep mat (depending on the child and their age and stage of development)

- all children have their own individual sleep bedding in their own draw string bag, which includes a fitted sheet and a cellular blanket.

- I have purchased new breathable cellular blankets to make sure the children remain comfortable.

-sleep mats are available in the playroom with the bedding for children to help themselves to and are cleaned after use.

-children will sleep in the same room so that I can see them at all times. .if this isn't possible I also have a baby monitor so that I can see them asleep at all times. But they will still be monitored and checked on.

- I will make regular checks to ensure they are safe and comfortable.

- I will use white noise or lullabys to create a calm and relaxing environment to help children settle.
