Firstly apologies, it's been a while, I've been trying to balance moving and obvious changes but I've been drifting back into burnout as a result. That said I'm feeling much better for the sunshine and now have much of my equipment somewhere I can access it. I had hoped to be having at an artisan fair in March however, I'm looking at trying to be prepared for the Beacon hill May fair...

On that note I have come across a package of specialist paper I ordered from Ratchfords some time back and I want to know how you would like to see it binding? It's a beautiful smooth stone paper which means it's environmentally friendly and *WATERPROOF* making it fantastic for field notes, outdoor journals and taking down dimensions and plans for your garden or outdoor projects. I'm interested in whether people would prefer A6 or A5 size, practically speaking, as well as a soft leather backing or a slim wooden hardback. As ever I will endeavour to make the final product a joy to look at as well as a practical and useable item.

Stay well everyone and I look forward to your feedback ☺️

Maybe I should work on some broom upgrades 🤔 things are still bumbling along slowly due to my total lack of technical foo. I'm currently drafting listings for the online shop however my health isn't helping. I have lots I hope to get done shortly once all the pieces finally fall into place.

Today has been a busy one setting up and taking product shots for the shop. There's so much involved and it's been exhausting as far as I'm concerned so special thanks go to Mike Preston for his much needed help and the loan of lighting equipment.

Firstly I'm sorry for being so quiet of late, a mixture of personal stuff and the need to look at figures and where to focus time and funds has meant I've had little to share directly. Hopefully my website is now visible with my contact page up and running with today's job being photographing my stock for the shop so hold tight ☺️

Anyone who has been around a while will remember I've been working on a collection of Crones who sadly went on hold to prepare for Spirit of Awen camp. Well my main focus is getting these lovely ladies finished and available. This lovely lady is the third of four so I will do my best to have all 4 completed and prints available before Samhain!

Well here we are in September and I'm back in my little workshop! Sadly no creativity is happening right away as I'm cleaning up after a month of birds using the roof space as their flight route. Not to be too disheartened however as I will be looking at what my last month has taught me and examining what to focus on.

Sadly my website is still not up and running but this will be one of my priorities this month so hopefully I will soon be able to report I'm officially up and running. Until then feel free to message me if there's anything in particular you want to discuss.

Apologies for being so quiet, life has been getting away from me but I'm wrangling it back on track... So here's an update on that green man drum bag! Only thing left to do is cut the new strap, dye it and add fittings which should be done by the end of the week.

Ahh... responsibilities to others dealt with once more I'm back in the stable to finish her ladyship.

Well his lordship is cut, now for m'lady.. Such an apt time of year to bring these two together 😁 I have a feeling the tooling is going to illicit some serious swearing

Would love to give credit but I can't... it is however very true ❤

Well here she is finally (I will never be 100% happy and knowing when to let it go is everything!). I finished off the last little bit whilst waiting to take his lordship to the train station as I knew I have my son's dog to pick up and take to the vets right after. This will probably mean that 3 days this week have been lost to me for creating and I'm slipping behind again.

It's just life but for those of us with physical limitations its spoons spent on extras other than home, personal or actually creating. Small businesses allow people like me to work around our limitations when we would otherwise find employment difficult to sustain. Please remember that when considering the difference between supporting small businesses or large established companies. Many people wish to work but find physical and mental barriers to meeting the needs and demands of traditional employers, hopefully this can change in the future or the market place will be more supportive of small creative people such as myself 😊

Sometimes we make decisions that don't pay off, we don't like or don't go as planned. It's best to walk away at that point but not for good, fresh eyes and persistence may, with a little time and work, pay off. I am not struck with my background choices on this one but Ive come back to give her the opportunity to sing through for herself... she doesn't seem as doubtful as I am.

I really love this twisted little broom in my home dyed and waxed cotton cord. The branch is actually a piece of wild honeysuckle and I hope this lovely turmeric yellow captures something of its former spirit.

Sorghum, cotton, beeswax, honeysuckle, suede.
