Keele Sports Centre has a wide range of facilities from indoor sports halls to outdoor playing fields. If it is health and fitness or competitive sports there is something for everyone. For the fitness fanatics we have a 50 station fitness centre with cardio, resistance, free weights and kinesis areas and over 25 fitness classes a week. We also offer our Play 4 Fun program that gives students the
chance to enjoy sport in a friendly, non-competitive environment. It’s all about being active and trying out new things, whatever your ability. If you are looking for something a bit more competitive, the intra mural competitions give you the chance to play alongside your friends in weekly competitions held right on your doorstep here on campus. Students competing at the highest level in their sport have the opportunity to become part of the Elite Athlete program. The program offers access to training facilities, strength and conditioning and physio support to name just a few. The Athletic Union is the body that runs 35 different sports clubs and teams at Keele. As members of the British University and Colleges Sport (BUCS), the AU provides the traditional Wednesday afternoon of sport, competing against other universities. Individuals do not have to compete for a team, all the clubs can be joined simply to train and to meet new people. The AU is located in the Sports Centre; please feel welcome to look around the facilities. Sports tours will be conducted by staff at the Sports Centre throughout the day.
