Today we say a sad farewell and good luck to our Year 6s. What a special group of children they are - they have left us with so many happy proud memories and keep sakes. They are a multi-talented close group of individuals, who will continue to grow and shine in their new secondary schools. We will miss them immensely at St Oswald’s but we know they will continue to make us proud in their next chapter.
Pob lwc pawb and please keep in touch. πŸ₯°

This week we have had some special treats to end the term during hot weather conditions!

On Monday, all children and staff enjoyed an ice-cream from Worley's Ice-Cream generously bought by our wonderful Friends of St Oswalds School Jeffreyston.

On Wednesday, after the beach, the children enjoyed an ice lolly back at school to cool down - Thank you Castell Howell for donating the lollies, a perfect end to an enjoyable day at the beach!!

Whole School Beach Trip πŸ–οΈβ˜€οΈπŸŒŠ

We enjoyed a trip to Coppet Hall yesterday to enjoy the sand, sea and sunshine.

The children had a fantastic time building sandcastles, exploring rock pools and playing sports on the beach.

It was a wonderful day filled with fun, teamwork and outdoor learning.

Diolch to the Friends for paying for the buses to transport us there!! πŸŒŠπŸ–οΈβ˜€οΈ

🌟 Wow – what a performance from our Year 3 and 4 pupils in their summer musical! 🌟

The children worked incredibly hard over the past few weeks, learning their lines, projecting their voices, performing with expression, and mastering songs complete with actions. Their dedication and enthusiasm shone through in every scene, and they truly brought the show to life.

The costumes looked fantastic, and the children gave us a performance to remember! Pirates vs Mermaids had everyone entertained from start to finish, packed with humour, memorable moments, and some wonderful hidden messages throughout. But the big question remains... Pirates or Mermaids – what do you think? πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈπŸ§œβ€β™€οΈ

A huge thank you to all the parents and carers for supporting the production and providing such amazing costumes. Special thanks also to David and Maisie in Year 6 for expertly managing the lights and music, and to our dedicated staff for giving up their time and helping with the wonderful decorations and props.

Most importantly, a big well done to our fantastic children. We are so proud of every single one of you for your hard work, confidence, teamwork and enthusiasm. You truly put on a spectacular show!

We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Year 3 and 4 pupils thoroughly enjoyed all of the PE activities planned and delivered by the YG Ysgol Greenhill Year 10 GCSE PE students on Monday. It was a brilliantly organised morning, packed with engaging activities, teamwork, and plenty of opportunities for the children to stay active and have fun.
There were lots of smiles throughout the morning, and the pupils had a fantastic time taking part. A big thank you to the Year 10 students and staff for creating such a positive and enjoyable experience for our children! πŸ˜ŠπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘

The girls had a fantastic time at the cricket festival today! Although some of the results may not have gone their way in the end, it was the first time playing cricket for most of them, and they all performed brilliantly. Most importantly, they had so much fun and represented the school with enthusiasm and determination throughout the day.

A huge thank you to Rick and Sarah for organising the festival and providing such wonderful opportunities for the children to take part, develop new skills, and create lasting memories. πŸπŸ‘πŸ˜Š

It was a very hot day down the beach on Monday for our year 5 and 6 pupils who played beach rugby - the girls and boys had so much fun despite the warm conditions! Both teams managed 3 games each before they finished the festival earlier than expected due to the weather, so that meant two things - A dip in the sea and an ice cream!!

Diolch Aled and Luke for organising it, we look forward to next year!

What a fantastic morning for our Speed Shot Challenge! The children had an amazing time, and it was wonderful to hear them supporting and encouraging one another throughout. There were some incredibly powerful kicks on display, especially from the teachers who joined in too! One standout effort came from a Year 6 pupil, who achieved an impressive 51.3 mph!

The children have worked really hard raising money for today’s event, and we look forward to sharing the total with you soon 😊
