Following the opening of Edinburgh’s Garden of Remembrance on Saturday 24 October, veterans from all services are invited to come together for a Veterans’ Curry Lunch at The Royal Scots Club

The lunch offers an opportunity for veterans to reconnect, share experiences and enjoy the camaraderie of the Armed Forces community following this important act of Remembrance.

Legion Scotland is proud to support opportunities that bring veterans together and ensure the spirit of Remembrance continues beyond the service itself.

POPPY CABS 2026
We’re delighted to announce the launch of this year’s Poppy Cabs campaign, continuing a fantastic tradition of support from Edinburgh’s black cab trade.

Once again, on Remembrance Sunday, members of the Edinburgh black cab trade will be giving up their time to provide free transport for veterans travelling to and from Remembrance services across Edinburgh and the Lothians.

It’s a wonderful example of the local community coming together to ensure veterans can attend services and take part in Remembrance.

Keep an eye out for the Poppy Cabs campaign and share the information with any veterans, families or organisations who may benefit.
