The children created Easter egg picture's using a potato masher, yellow paint,PVA glue and Easter themed confetti. The children used their gross motor skills when stamping the paint onto the paper to make an egg shape and they used their fine motor skills to sprinkle the easter themed confetti.

We enjoyed making Easter Eggs using playdough. We carefully rolled and moulded the eggs to fit inside the egg boxes. We did excellent sharing. We spoke about where eggs come from, some children didn't know eggs came from chickens, they thought they came from the shops!

Today, we had a wonderful time wearing our pyjamas for Comic Relief! Can you imagine the fun we had exploring the red jelly? The children loved playing with the red pom poms and feathers, and we even chatted about the different textures we were feeling.

We got our hands busy making Jammy Red Nose Twists, spreading jam with knives and spoons! It was a messy but fun activity. And then, we turned our attention to washable faces, using spreaders to create red noses. They looked great!

To top it all off, we had some glittery red water play! The kids filled cups, jugs, and even used drain pipes to pour water around. What a joy to see them all engaged!

Today to celebrate St Patrick'sDay we have been 'digging for gold' the children used their fine motor skills to spoon through the mud to find the coins, using sieves to help them free the mud and coins.

We discussed what st Patrick's day is and why we celebrate it we also had a conversation about rainbows, leprechauns and pots of gold.

We made a rainbow! 🌈

The children filled the rainbow sections with the corresponding coloured items. Once the bowls were empty they searched the room for resources of the same colour adding them to the rainbow.

This activity prompted the children to use quick thinking, problem solving and improved colour recognition.

We did a group activity exploring colours and colours mixing. We spoke about the different colours and enjoyed seeing the changes when mixing different ones together. This activity maintained all the children's focus for a long period of time. The children demonstrated beautiful listening skills, amazing turn taking and super sitting.

Today for world book day we made Gruffalo Crumble which we enjoyed for snack with custard. We mixed cooking apples, blueberries, butter, oats, apple juice, and a tiny bit of sugar together. We carefully chopped the apples and used spoons to stir all the ingredients together. We enjoyed the warm crumble with custard at snack time.
