Ermington School Kids Club is an after-school provision and we are looking for staff during term time, for both breakfast club 7:30am- 8:45am and after school 15:00 - 18:00 to undertake fun activities with children aged 3 - 11 years.
The work is stimulating and varied, and the successful applicant will be required to ensure the safety of the children and to respond positively to their physical and emotional needs, encouraging their engagement, promoting life skills and praising their achievements.
The Kids Club meets in a modern building in the School grounds and it is equipped to provide interesting and fun-filled activities for young people appropriate to their needs, both indoors and outdoors.
The post is not a full-time position and would typically suit those wanting to work flexibly around studies and/or term time work.
Desirable requirements;
- Level 3 childcare qualification or equivalent
- Childcare experience
- An understanding of the EYFS
- Knowledge of risk assessing and health and safety
- Experience working in a team
Safeguarding of children is paramount and promoting the welfare of children, we expect all our staff to share this commitment.
We are an equal opportunities employer, and all posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and 2 satisfactory references, as well as undergoing various training courses for the successful applicants.

We have a lot of bills still outstanding this term, totalling well into 4 figures, as a small business we simply cannot run like this. If you have money owing to Kids Club please will you make it a priority to sort this out. Online bank transfer is the easiest way, or we do have a card machine, if you’d like to pay using that.
