A great achievement for Woodlands Park Primary School as we proudly celebrate achieving the School Games Gold Mark Award for our commitment to PE, sport and physical activity.

Pictured holding the award are our KS2 Sports Award winners, Megan and Oscar, recognised for their positive contributions, sporting attitude and achievements both in and outside of school.

A special thank you goes to our PE Lead, Mrs Gregory, for her dedication, enthusiasm and hard work in promoting high-quality PE and sporting opportunities for all our children. Well done, everyone! 🏅

🎭 Matilda the Musical – Year 5/6 Production 🎭

A huge well done to our amazing Year 5 and 6 pupils for their fantastic performances of Matilda the Musical this week! 🌟

The children have worked incredibly hard learning their lines, songs and choreography, and we are so proud of the confidence, teamwork and enthusiasm they have shown throughout the production.

Thank you to all the parents and families who joined us on Tuesday and Wednesday to support the children. Your encouragement and applause helped make the performances even more special.

Congratulations to every child involved, both on stage and behind the scenes – you were all stars! ⭐👏

🌟 Dance World Cup Success! 🌟

We are incredibly proud of Emily and Matilda from Year 5 who have recently returned from competing at the Dance World Cup in Dublin as part of Team England! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿✨

After months of dedicated weekly rehearsals, Emily and Matilda performed on the huge stage at the Convention Centre Dublin, competing alongside some of the world's most talented young dancers.

An amazing 11,000 dancers from 60 countries took part in this prestigious event, which judges described as being like the Olympics of dance. We are thrilled to share that Emily and Matilda achieved an outstanding 5th place 🏅

What an incredible achievement and a testament to their hard work, commitment and talent!

Congratulations to Finley Brown (Eagle Owls) who competed in the Plymouth Basketball summer league this year, helping his team come 3rd overall & winning the league MVP (most valuable player) award!

Finley will continue playing for Plymouth Basketball Club U12s next season. Well done Finley 🏀

Armed Forces Day Trophy Success for Woodlands Park Warriors!🏆

A huge well done to our 17 Woodlands Park Warriors who represented the school so brilliantly at this year’s Armed Forces Day competition.

The team achieved their fastest-ever time, finished first in their final run and secured a trophy for an impressive third place for the fewest penalties across the event. Most importantly, they were praised by the judges for their cohesive teamwork, positivity, communication and determination throughout the day.

A huge thank you to our sponsors, supporters, staff and families, and especially to Robin (Immy's Dad) and Mrs Gregory for their commitment in training the team each week.

We are incredibly proud of all the children and look forward to welcoming new recruits for 2027! ⭐👏
