🏌️ GOOD SWING… JUST A FEW SMALL CHANGES NEEDED

A quick look inside one of my online lessons 👇

This player already had a great-looking swing, but a couple of small pieces were making consistency harder:

🔹 Lead shoulder more DOWN in the backswing
🔹 More hip turn on an angle by changing the knee flex
🔹 Stop the head drifting 6–8 inches away from the ball
🔹 Then simply transfer more weight FORWARD in the downswing

I always try to explain swing changes in the simplest possible terms — understand the movement first, then build from there.

🎯 FIX THE BACKSWING — FIX THE DOWNSWING

✅ Fix the takeaway
✅ Get the backswing on plane
✅ Create a better transition
✅ Stop coming over the top
✅ Then you can ROTATE harder through impact 💥

Get the backswing right and the downswing can almost fall into place automatically.

Until then, trying to rotate harder can actually make the over-the-top move worse.

🚨 Set the Shaft on Plane 🚨

A simple drill that can transform your backswing.

Place a headcover or glove under your lead armpit to keep your upper arm connected to your chest. This helps you set the club on the correct plane by halfway back.

✅ Better backswing structure
✅ Easier transition into the downswing
✅ Fewer compensations
✅ More consistent ball striking

Get this key position right, and the rest of the swing becomes much simpler.

Transfer Your Weight to Compress Your Iron Shots 💥⛳

Here’s a clip from one of my online lessons today.

To compress your irons consistently, both your upper body (sternum) and lower body (hips) must transfer towards the target in the downswing.

❌ If either centre stays back for too long, you’ll often hit:
• Fat shots
• Heavy shots
• Thin shots

✅ Learn to move both centres together for crisp, powerful iron strikes.
