Yesterday, we celebrated an exceptional set of GCSE results as our Year 11 students reap the rewards of five years of hard work, ambition and determination.

Across the curriculum, students achieved outstanding successes, with remarkable performances in maths, science, humanities, languages and beyond. From clean sweeps of top grades to individual subject excellence, this year’s results are a testament to the commitment and resilience shown by our students throughout their time at Isleworth & Syon.

But Results Day is about far more than grades alone. It is a celebration of the young men our students have become and the journeys they have taken. Whether through sport, music, leadership, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, performing arts, volunteering or academic enrichment, this cohort has embraced every opportunity available to them and made the most of their time at school.

Having always enjoyed music, Sam aspires to become a well renowned composer after his passion for music was further developed through opportunities such as an audition workshop at Isleworth & Syon, which resulted in a mentorship scheme with the Royal Academy of Music Academy of Music. Being able to play the French horn, violin and the piano, in addition to his composition interests, supported Sam in securing a 9 in his Music GCSE.

Sam is celebrating a fantastic set of results, having also achieved a grade 9 in History and English Literature, as well as an 8 in Drama, which he credited to the determination, strength and confidence he developed within himself. These qualities and his commitment to Isleworth & Syon were commended when he won the Headteacher's Cup at the end of Key Stage 3.

A brilliant achievement today for Sam which stands him in brilliant stead to continue his studies in Music, History and Psychology and Sociology A Levels.

For former Blue School pupil Finley, success at Isleworth & Syon has been about discovering just how many possibilities lie ahead.

Celebrating an impressive set of results, including 9s in English Language and Literature and French and an 8 in Economics, Finley has also thrown himself into wider school life, enjoying particular success on the rugby field and helping his team to tournament victories.

He highlights the school’s I&S Inspire series including a talk from Dr Jamie Frost as helping to broaden his horizons and reveal the different pathways available beyond school.

Finley will now stay at Isleworth & Syon Sixth Form to study Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics, ready to explore where those interests might take him next.

Our Year 10 geographers rounded off the academic year with a fieldwork visit to the River Crane, putting classroom learning into practice in a real-world environment.
The trip gave students the opportunity to investigate river processes, management strategies and land use first-hand, helping to bring key GCSE geography concepts to life.

Fieldwork remains an essential part of geography, allowing students to develop practical skills while deepening their understanding of the world around them.
Well done to all of our Year 10 geographers for embracing another fantastic hands-on learning opportunity!

We are incredibly proud of Year 11 student Phoenix Offiah, whose dedication, resilience and talent have earned him an Under-18 Scholar Contract with Tottenham Hotspur.

A gifted forward, Phoenix played a key role in Tottenham’s Under-16 side that won the Premier League Cup this season, scoring and assisting in a thrilling 5-3 final victory. This achievement comes after an outstanding year balancing elite-level football with the demands of his GCSE studies.

His determination to keep improving has now led to this exciting next step in his football career.

Congratulations, Phoenix. We wish you every success as you begin life as a full-time scholar next season and look forward to following your journey in the years ahead.

For Jahsiah, music is much more than a subject, it’s the career he is determined to build.
A talented musician and aspiring independent artist, Jahsiah has studied Music, Art and English Literature at Isleworth & Syon Sixth Form and is now looking ahead to studying Music Production at university.
His ambition is to build a career as an independent music artist, using the opportunities offered by the internet alongside the skills, experiences and industry connections he hopes to develop at university to produce, promote and share his own music.
Jahsiah credits the Sixth Form’s progressive approach to Music with helping him understand that succeeding in today’s industry requires much more than musical ability alone. Alongside developing his skills in creating and producing music, he has explored the digital and marketing side of the industry and learned how technology and specialist software can help artists take greater control of their own careers.
And while his own ambitions are firmly creative, Jahsiah’s advice for achieving them is refreshingly straightforward:
“Stay consistent with your learning.”
With plans to study Music Production and a clear vision for the kind of artist he wants to become, Jahsiah is ready to take everything he has learned at Isleworth & Syon and start making his own mark on the music industry 🎵🎧
