We’re currently seeking self-employed Primary and Secondary tutors to support our growing tutoring programme, delivering high-quality tuition in a calm, supportive and structured environment.

📚 Literacy skills unlock the rest of the curriculum

We can help your child build the strong literacy foundations they need to succeed across all subjects. 💛

We have just one space remaining in each of these small-group literacy sessions at Gem of Knowledge:

✨ Monday | 5:15–6:15pm
Suitable for P7–S1

✨ Thursday | 6:15–7:15pm
Suitable for P6/P7–S1

✨ Friday | 4:00–5:00pm
Suitable for P2–P6

Our small groups support children who may benefit from dyslexia-friendly learning approaches, including structured phonics support, reading fluency, writing development, and spelling strategies. We use multi-sensory techniques, repetition, and confidence-building activities to make learning accessible and engaging.

We focus on strengthening core literacy skills such as phonics, reading comprehension, spelling patterns, handwriting, and written expression, while also supporting memory, processing, and overall confidence.

With small group sizes, we can give each child the encouragement and targeted support they need to grow in confidence and make real progress — while keeping learning positive and enjoyable. 📖✏️

💜 Well… this happened! 💜
I’m absolutely over the moon to say that Gem of Knowledge is a finalist in ALL 3 categories we entered in the ABW Annual Awards 2026! 🥹

After winning Best Customer Service and Best Business Project last year, I honestly wasn’t expecting to come back this year and be shortlisted in every category we entered!

And looking at the other finalists, there are some seriously amazing businesses in there. So to see Gem of Knowledge alongside them is a huge achievement in itself. 💜

What makes me particularly proud is what we've been recognised for.

These three categories really reflect what Gem of Knowledge is all about — doing good, putting our children and families first, and building something that makes a genuine difference.

That is what I wanted Gem of Knowledge to be when I started it, and to have that recognised means so much.

From starting with just a few 1:1 pupils to now having a team of tutors, supporting over 80 children every week and offering tutoring, art, STEM and holiday programmes… it’s hard to believe how much it has grown.

A huge thank you to my amazing team, our families and every child who comes through our doors and makes Gem of Knowledge what it is. 💜
Whatever happens on the day, I’m incredibly proud that we’re finalists in all three categories we entered.

Now let's see if we can bring another award home! 🤞🏻🏆💜
