Check out this alt picked- pickslanting lick! I used a downward pick slant in conjunction with even numbers per string. This is a pretty valuable concept to understand if you with to play at speed with little effort. Of course it will still require some practice but the results are pretty remarkable. I've never been much of a fast alternate picker until I realised where I was going wrong!
