🔊PLEASE SHARE! 😃 To ALL parents that have a child ready to start 1140 funded hours in August.
‼️nursery registration takes place 06th - 31st March 2024 ‼️

There are now several Childminders in North Ayrshire who are registered to offer the full 1140 funded. As well as receiving your hours from nursery, you can blend your hours with a Childminder. This also applies to eligible 2-year-olds and 3 & 4-year-olds.

How would this work for you and your family to have the best of both environments?
* Model 2 atttend Childminder 1 full day and 4 morning sessions or 4 afternoon sessions. This also helps retain that day any holidays.
* Model 3 9am-3pm Mon-Fri split 2 days at Childminder 3 days at Nursery.
* Many Childminders will not be able to offer wraparound due to limitations on our numbers.

📚We follow exactly the same curriculum/planning cycle as the nursery and work along side the nursery. We are qualified with SVQ/HNC
👩🏻‍🦰 more focused provision due to less numbers
👩‍👧‍👦 provide your child with the best elements from both environments
👩‍💼Flexible hours/days to enable working parents more options for childcare
🏫retain a space for the summer holidays
🍂 We make the best use of the outdoors and local community and what it offers the children in everyday activities to grow, develop and stimulate learning

As you will be aware North Ayrshire Council is reshaping its delivery of early years education to help better meet the needs of its young people and parents. Parents and carers of children accessing early years are being encouraged to take part in a survey on the proposed redesign of the service, which will take into account current rates of uptake and preferred models of provision. Last of our Christmas activities today and what a way to finish with a wee sing song and a dance at the library 🎅🏻🎁 Would just like to wish my team a Merry Christmas and I know Santa will be good to you all. As always thank you to my parents for trusting me with their wee treasures and making my business such a success 🫶🏻 Now I’m off to make some special memories with my girl 🇺🇸🗽

Let’s talk separation anxiety 😥
Firstly separation anxiety is normal for children and can traditionally feature when starting Nursery or School 🏫

Here are some tips below ⬇️ to consider

‼️Practise short separations from your child to begin with. You could start by leaving them in someone else's care for a few minutes while you nip to the local shop..

‼️Talk about what you'll do together later. ... and always validate feelings ❤️

‼️Leave something comforting with your child eg favourite toy

‼️ Make saying goodbye a positive time.
