💪 Why they’re good for you
🧡 High in beta-carotene
Orange sweet potatoes are particularly rich in beta-carotene, which your body can convert into vitamin A. This supports vision, immune function and healthy skin.
💩 Good source of fibre
The fibre can help with digestion, bowel regularity and keeping you feeling fuller.
⚡ Good training fuel
They’re primarily a carbohydrate, so they’re useful for replenishing muscle glycogen and providing energy for exercise.
🧂 Good source of potassium
Potassium is important for normal muscle and nerve function.
🌱 Lots of micronutrients
They also provide vitamin C, manganese and several B vitamins.
This week I have been roasting them with chilli and salt chopped into chunks and in air fryer and adding them to salads and ramen 🥰
