Miss Abbey and Miss Sam have been to Pen Green this weekend to attend the ‘Stronger Practice, Better Outcomes’ conference.

Continuing to attend these learning adventures helps us develop our knowledge, reflect on our practice, and gives us reassurance that we are on the right track when it comes to supporting and growing every child who comes into our setting. 💛

This time of year is always a little emotional for us… saying goodbye to our children as they take their next big step into school. 🌟 We’re so proud of everything they’ve achieved, but it’s hard to let them go after being such a special part of our nursery family.
The beautiful cards, gifts and words of thanks from our families truly mean so much to us. 💐 Knowing we’ve played a part in these early years makes every goodbye a little bit easier. We’ll miss you all, but we can’t wait to see the amazing things you’ll go on to do! 💛

🎉 We Continued Party Month at Nursery! 🎉

The party fun continued at nursery, and we’ve had such a wonderful time celebrating together! 🥳

We prepared for our party by getting creative and making colourful paper chains and bunting to decorate our nursery. 🎨✂️

Then it was time to party! 🎈 We enjoyed a fantastic disco, bubbles and lots of delicious party food! 🍕🥪🍓 The children also had great fun making their very own fairy cakes before enjoying their tasty creations. 🧁😋

Our school leaver group had some extra party fun with a traditional game of Pass the Parcel! 🎁🎶 It was lovely to see their excitement, laughter and big smiles as they passed the parcel around and celebrated together. 💕

We’ve had such a wonderful Party Month filled with dancing, creating, baking, playing and making special memories with our friends. 🎉💖

What a fantastic start to our Party Month here at nursery! 🎉

Party Month brings lots of fun and continues to develop friendships throughout nursery, creating special memories and opportunities for children to learn and play together. 💛

Our little chefs had so much fun creating their own delicious homemade pizzas 🍕, everyone embraced the mess during our exciting Messy Day 🎨🫧, and yesterday we started off the week with a cosy Teddy Bears' Picnic in our pyjamas! 🧸✨

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, creativity, and fun along the way, and we can't wait to see what the rest of Party Month has in store! 🎈🌟

🌿🤎 Happy National Mud Day! 🤎🌿

What a wonderfully messy day we've had celebrating National Mud Day in Nursery!

Our little explorers had so much fun discovering the magic of mud through sensory play. We squished, squeezed and moulded our own mud playdough 👐🟤, getting creative with natural materials and using our imaginations.

The highlight of the day was definitely our mud slide! 🛝💦 The children loved watching the muddy water flow, experimenting with how it moved, and enjoying lots of messy exploration and laughter. 😄🌱

Mud play encourages curiosity, creativity, problem-solving and sensory development, all while having lots of fun outdoors! 🌍🍃

We are delighted to share our newly refurbished baby garden, designed to provide our youngest children with a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable outdoor environment all year round.

The improvements to our garden mean that babies can now enjoy outdoor play in all weathers, giving them regular opportunities to explore, discover, and learn through nature. Spending time outdoors offers so many benefits for young children, including supporting their physical development, building strength and coordination, improving balance, and encouraging movement through crawling, cruising, and walking.

Fresh air and outdoor experiences also help to promote wellbeing, curiosity, and sensory exploration as babies engage with different sights, sounds, textures, and natural elements around them.

We are passionate about providing rich learning experiences both indoors and outdoors, and our refurbished garden allows us to extend these opportunities whatever the weather.

This morning, we welcomed our Daddies into nursery for a special Father's Day Breakfast 🍳🥐☕. The Dads enjoyed a breakfast prepared especially for them before spending time playing alongside their children 🧩🎨🚗, creating happy memories and strengthening those important bonds.

It was lovely to see so many of you join us 😊, and we would like to say a huge thank you for giving up your time to be part of such a special morning. Your involvement means so much to the children and helps create lasting memories ❤️.

These shared experiences support children's Personal, Social and Emotional Development within the EYFS framework, helping them build secure relationships, develop a sense of belonging, and grow in confidence 🌟. Through play and interaction, children also developed their Communication and Language skills as they shared conversations, ideas, and experiences with their Daddies. 🗣️👨‍👧‍👦.

Thank you again to all the Dads who attended and helped make the morning so special! 💙✨

Yesterday, we enjoyed another wonderful visit to Highmead House 🏡💛
The children had such a lovely time sitting with the residents, chatting together and sharing smiles 😊 We explored lots of fun activities including creating pictures using different resources 🎨✂️, completing puzzles 🧩, building towers with blocks 🏗️ and matching animal pictures while talking about different animals 🐶🦁🐘
These special monthly outings are so valuable for the children as they support their physical development, communication skills and understanding of the world around them 🌍💫 They also help the children learn more about our local community and the importance of building caring relationships across generations ❤️
A huge thank you to all the wonderful residents and staff for making us feel so welcome each time. We always leave with happy hearts and lots of special memories 🥰

This month, during our preschool visit to Highmead House Care Home, we had a wonderful time enjoying interactive games with the residents 😊🎲 One highlight was a memory matching game, which gave both young and older minds a great workout 🧠✨

The residents also kindly provided us with pots of bubbles to explore—there was lots of excitement as we practiced blowing them 🫧💫 and thankfully, they didn’t mind the mess! 😄

We’re already looking forward to seeing what fun activities await us next month! 🎉💛
