After a sports massage, what you do next matters just as much as the treatment itself.
1. Staying hydrated is really important, as drinking plenty of water helps your body flush everything through and supports your muscles as they recover.
2. Try to keep activity light for the rest of the day and avoid jumping straight back into intense exercise, give your body time to properly benefit from the treatment.
3. It’s completely normal to feel a bit sore or tender, especially in areas that were tight, but this should settle down within a day or two.
4. Keeping your body moving gently with something like a walk or light stretching, it can help prevent stiffness and keep everything feeling loose.
