We’re almost ready for our Summer fayre this Saturday. We hope to see you there for lots of summer fun starting at 11.30 🥳

Look at the difference in our Forest learners garden. We can’t wait to add some finishing touches and for the children to explore the new space and have much more shade in the summer months 😍

A busy day yesterday in the Forest learners garden ❤️

We may not be open this week but that hasn’t stopped exciting work in Forest learners garden getting started 😀

Keep an eye out for updates throughout the week

This afternoon we had an exciting visit from Mini monsters 🐌🐍

We were very interested to meet a lizard, a millipede and a snake.

We then sat together to try out the banana oat muffins we’d baked 🍌

Our Forest Learners were up bright and early putting their new solar fountain to the test — and it was an absolute splash! 💦

Lots of giggles, lots of catching water droplets, and the perfect way to stay cool before the sun cranked up the heat.

☀️ HEATWAVE UPDATE FOR PARENTS ☀️

With the warm weather continuing, we wanted to let all of our families know the steps we are taking to help keep the children cool, comfortable, and safe while still enjoying their day at nursery 🌞

Throughout the day, children will be encouraged to drink plenty of water, and regular drinks will be offered to keep everyone well hydrated 💧

We also have lots of fun planned, including water play and ice activities to help the children stay cool while enjoying the sunshine safely 🧊💦

To help us during the hot weather, please could we ask parents to:

👕 Send children in light, loose, comfortable clothing
👒 Provide a named sun hat every day
🧴 Apply sun cream before arriving at nursery

Where possible, we will make use of shaded areas and cooler indoor spaces, and staff will continue to monitor the children closely throughout the day to ensure they remain comfortable in the heat.

Do pop along to speak to Lea for advise on anything from potty training to weaning and fussy eaters. She has a vast experience and is able to offer advice and support on all things early years 😀

Would you like some support from our FSP? We have a open evening coming up on Tuesday 30th June 5-6pm for support on anything from toileting and behaviour to sleep and eating.
This is a drop in, informal event, there are sign up sheets in the reception of Little learners and Forest Learners, pop your name down if you would like to attend.
