It is hard to think of Halloween without learning about El Día de los Mu***os. This amazing Mexican celebration is not only fascinating but also very informative and it shows us how Mexicans honour their departed family and friends.
When our students learn about the Day of the Dead, they also learn geography and interesting facts about this North American country.

As per the words of Sarah Breslin, ECML Executive Director could not put it better "Learning a language, even on a very basic level offers a key to understanding other cultures and ways of life. It encourages an appreciation of and a respect for different traditions and then this way language learning helps to promote tolerance, and open-mindedness which are key to resolving or even preventing conflicts situations"

GCSE MFL results -
Students we took on during the pandemic will be receiving their results this morning. We want to emphasise that whilst everyone hopes for a pass mark or higher so they can pursue their A-levels, we hope everyone enjoyed their lessons, study and group time with us. Please remember, a grade does not define you.
Whether you choose to go for A-levels, apprenticeship or work, well done for trying! We are proud of all of you 😀

***RESOURCES HAVE ARRIVED AND PACKS WILL BE SENT ON THE LAST WEEK OF AUGUST AND FIRST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER - LAST DAY TO ORDER WILL BE THE 3rd OF SEPTEMBER***
We are incredibly proud to be once again the National Relays for the European Day of Languages in England. We would like to urge schools to participate, promote and enhance the MFL in your school. When children learn the amazing world of languages, they automatically become more open and accept others by who they are. They also can forge friendships with someone who speaks another language and communicate their thoughts, feelings.
Let's make this year another year full of games, competitions, events and most importantly, another year to connect with others and enjoy the things we share.
