Last week at preschool we have been making jam tarts, carefully making breadcrumbs and rolling out the pastry. We celebrated British food fortnight by creating plates of our favourite food, we thought about who we eat with and where we eat food. We created a road with numbers to roll the cars along, we said 1,2,3 go! The little explorers have been collecting natural objects, finding insects and using the equipment at the park, we thought about our concept of the week up and down. This week in preschool the little explorers have been looking for things that are green, they found different bugs and found the number 2 in the environment. We have been making caterpillars using cups and paint. The children made cupcakes, carefully measuring all of the ingredients. We have been making different insects with playdough. What a busy week we have had!

This week in preschool the little explorers have spotted lots of natural objects on their walks, they have also been counting cars and looking at the colours. The children have been creating houses and towers in the garden with different resources. We practiced jumping in and out of hoola hoops, saying the words in and out as we jumped. The children made smoothies, carefully cutting up the fruit, pouring in the milk and spooning in the honey. What a busy week we have had!

Last week in preschool it was lovely to welcome back our families and meet our new familes. The children were making biscuits, mixing together the ingredients. They were interested in books, looking at books on their own and with adults. They were role playing being doctors, checking their friends with stethoscopes. What a busy week we had!

This week is our last week at preschool before the summer break. We have had lots of fun, having dance parties, listening well for musical bumps and statues. The children have been making cupcakes with the playdough. We have been playing in the watertray, pouring and filling. This week in preschool the little explorers have been collecting rubbish with the litter pickers and collecting big and small sticks for the garden. We have been making paper aeroplanes and racing them in the garden. We have been looking after our growing garden this week, we are excited to see that our tomatoes have flowers! The butterflies had a trip to St. Andrews church this week and have been exploring the pod. The caterpillars have been creating with blocks. What a busy week we have had in preschool!

This week in preschool it has been hot, hot, hot, the children have been keeping cool in the watertray and going on the slip and slide. The butterflies have been learning about sun safety with little Ben and the caterpillars have been practicing their counting skills. The little explorers found things that were blue and counted things to 7. We have been looking after our plants in the growing garden, giving them lots of water.

This week in preschool the caterpillars have been looking at their own features and comparing themselves to others. The butterflies had a visit from little Ben and have been thinking about what uniform they will wear at school. It has been a wet week this week, the children have been collecting water. In little explorers we have been counting to 6, spotting the colour green and learning about first and last.
