Tom Hunt - Music Tuition

This introductory short course is adaptable to each student and so all tastes in music/preferred genres are welcome!

Each session will be ‘hands on’ meaning students are largely in control of the software and equipment and will be developing practical skills that they can then transfer to their chosen DAW at home.

It's been a lot of fun in the past and so I'm looking forward to running more sessions!

I have updated my online lesson page this afternoon and so please check it out if you're thinking about lessons. Zoom can be a great alternative to in-person tuition and I use high quality video and audio equipment to ensure the best possible experience.

I also offer free 20 minute introductory sessions to students if they would like to check everything works OK, adjust settings and also just say hello and see how lessons work.

Photos are now starting to come out of my Deaf guitar workshops at Watford Palace Theatre last month. This was part of a fantastic weekend of events called Enrich Festival. I was very pleased to be one of their workshop leaders and my students were a pleasure to teach! Sessions were delivered with BSL, audio visualisers, sign song and adapted notation.

I've created a new exercise for my guitar improv students... the 'One Lick Challenge'! It's an exercise that encourages creative thinking and is aimed at helping guitarists spice up their soloing. You can check it out here:

I'm very excited to be delivering a Deaf-friendly guitar workshop at this year's Enrich Festival! This is a fantastic festival that is designed to be as inclusive and accessible as possible and features a variety of performers and workshops. It takes place the weekend of 26th/27th April (I will be teaching on the Sunday (time TBC)).

My sessions will teach students the basics of guitar and how to play an easy Rock song. We will then enjoy 'jamming' it together using guitars, sign song and audio visualisers. BSL will be used throughout. I look forward to meeting students then!
