We're thrilled to be collaborating with Halo Service Solutions for opportunities with our students!

We recently welcomed the first cohort of Project Manager apprentices to study with us, while the firm has also been working on projects with our Business Management, Digital Film Production and Graphic Design and Graphic Illustration students - including on opportunities around the Halo Festival!

Vice-Chancellor Professor Jenny Higham said: "Halo is well known for championing graduates, investing in young talent, and by collaborating now we can ensure we can deliver their future skills needs while providing excellent opportunities for our students and graduates to work with a distinguished name with global reach in the technology sector.”

Halo Chief Executive Paul Hamilton said: “There were some fantastic collaborations with the University of Suffolk in the last academic year, including Halo case studies being implemented onto university modules across a number of courses. We are looking forward to exploring additional collaborations going forwards, and having our HQ in Ipswich will be ideal for expanding how we can work together.''

Last week, we were proud to host Ipswich’s first-ever TEDx event! 🎤

TEDx University of Suffolk brought together seven speakers from the University and local community, each sharing their research, and ideas around the theme “Building a better Suffolk”.

From hashtag activism and AI to 3D printing in medicine, colour, citizen science and the Suffolk landscape, the talks showcased the breadth of ideas and innovation happening across our region.

The event is part of a series celebrating the University’s 10th anniversary, with more events taking place this autumn, including an Open Lecture and a Spotlight Suffolk panel.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success, and to our speakers for sharing their ideas with us! 💡

Another year of welcoming our friends from Keio University in Japan! 👋🌏

Our MSc Adult Nursing students recently welcomed nursing students and staff from Keio University as part of our international partnership.

From lectures and clinical skills sessions to visits with local healthcare partners, the exchange was a great opportunity to share skills, experiences and cultures.

The group also got to explore Suffolk and Cambridge during their stay! 🍏

Next up, our nursing students will head to Japan in February 2027 to take part in the Short-Term Nursing and Medical Care Studies Programme.

1. In the past year we’ve refurbished huge areas of our campus - including our library, postgraduate spaces and our Pharmacy and life sciences facilities 🔬

2. And by the time you arrive next September, you’ll also have a brand new SU space to enjoy!

3. We’ve got a range of courses that might be the right fit for you! Our newest courses include Pharmacy and Zoo Science and Management 🌿

4. Ipswich is also a very student friendly city! The waterfront and town centre have some bars and cafes that offer student discount, plus it’s a vibrant town for arts, culture and sport ⚽️

Last night, our Suffolk Salutes awards were buzzing, as we welcomed outstanding alumni and extraordinary community figures for this year's awards ceremony! 🎉

Now in its third year, the Alumni Awards celebrate graduates whose achievements, commitment and contributions truly stand out.

For our 10th anniversary year, we also welcomed our new Community Award winners for the first time, celebrating their remarkable work in Ipswich, Suffolk and East Anglia.

Congratulations to Alumni Award winners Emily Godden, Lee Hudson, Perry Littman, Sophie Peskett, Dan Wiltshire and Xenia Zimmermann! 👏
