A new research project to support the UK's nuclear workforce will be delivered by the University, thanks to national funding for PhD students.
The University is working with University of Liverpool, Dalton Nuclear Institute and University of Surrey on the Doctoral Focal Award in Radiation Protection, Nuclear Safety and Environmental Sustainability (RAPTOR), and will lead on the programme's research focus of Social Value and Societal Impact.

Last week we celebrated the private view of our Arts Degree Show 2026 🎨
The exhibition showcases the creativity, originality and talent of our final-year Art and Design students, bringing together work from across our creative courses.
The exhibition is now open to the public in the Arts Building on the University of Suffolk campus until Friday 26 June.

Thanks to a generous donation from Debach, our first-year BSc (Hons) Wildlife, Ecology and Conservation Science students had the opportunity to go behind the scenes at some top London museums.
As part of the course’s Diversity of Life module, the group visited the Angela Marmont Centre at the Natural History Museum, the Linnean Society collections and the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew.
We’re grateful to Debach for their funding which plays a vital role in ensuring our students can access enriching educational experiences that have the potential to shape their studies and future careers

We are excited to announce the seventh biennial Children and Childhoods Conference!
Early childhood programmes have over a thirty-year tradition at the University of Suffolk being one of the very first in the country to offer childhood studies as a degree programme. This year’s conference continues this tradition with the focus on social justice, exploring the diverse nature of contemporary childhoods. The themes of the two days are:

Congratulations to our University of Suffolk Dragons who took to the water on Saturday for the Brave Futures Dragon Boat Race! 🐉
Despite the wet weather, the team showed fantastic spirit and teamwork while raising an incredible £1,312 (and counting) for Brave Futures, exceeding their fundraising target. 💛
A huge thank you to everyone who donated, cheered from the sidelines and supported the team throughout the event. Your generosity will help Brave Futures continue their vital work supporting children and young people across Suffolk.

Students can apply for the MA Social Work, MSc Digital Marketing and Data Analytics, and MSc Cognitive Behavioural Therapy courses now.
In addition, our four-year Master of Pharmacy course, also launching this September, is aimed at undergraduate students and has an integrated Master's built into the course.
