An end of term message from Miss Mackie.

"As another school year comes to a close, I want to thank our wonderful students for the enthusiasm and kindness they bring to our school every day. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved, both in and out of the classroom, and of the way they support one another as members of our school community.

I wish all of our students, families and staff a happy, restful and well-deserved summer break. I hope that everyone can enjoy the summer and I look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new academic year."

What a fantastic evening had by all who attended the Northgate Music Department Summer Concert last week!

Audiences were treated to a wide range of music, mainly written by female composers. The concert was titled 'Putting Women in the Sequel' to celebrate the achievements of women as composers in the Music Industry.

From the first symphony ever written by a women called Sinfonia in C, to Misery Business written by the lead singer Hayley Williams of the band Paramore, we listened to the incredibly talented students from Northgate High School and Sixth Form. We are so proud of them all!

Northgate is holding its annual Pride Picnic on Wednesday 15th July 2026, 3:15pm - 4:30pm 🏳️‍🌈

Open to all students (all year groups) and all staff. You don’t have to be LGBT+ to come along.

The Grand Final of the Dora Love Prize took place on Friday evening.

This year, 19 schools and over 250 students took part.

We are delighted to let you know that Northgate has won the Dora Love Prize 2026! 🥇🏆🎉

Our students have been superb - an absolute credit to our school, showing real maturity and empathy whilst exploring a challenging issue (disability).

It has been wonderful to see so many of them grow in confidence and develop so many skills during the project.
