We’re excited to welcome internationally renowned photographer Tim Flach () to the University of Suffolk () for a special public guest lecture!📸🦜
Join us as Tim discusses his career, creative process, and photographic practice in what promises to be an inspiring session for photographers, creatives, and students alike.

Tim Flach is a photographer known for his stylised animal portraits. He has dedicated his career to documenting biodiversity and conveying empathy for our planet’s endangered creatures. Driven by a desire to share stories of the natural world, he has been collaborating with scientists to research how imagery can better lead to pro-environmental outcomes. Flach has six main bodies of work which have been exhibited worldwide, including shows at Museums of Natural History, from Paris to Beijing. He has six international award-winning books translated into multiple languages. His latest publication, Feline, was released in Fall 2025. Tim has an Honorary Doctorate from the University of the Arts London (Norwich) and is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society. He is also a Senior Research Fellow (Artist in Residence) at the Centre for Eudaimonia and Human Flourishing at Linacre College, University of Oxford.

We are delighted to welcome Anastasia Taylor-Lind to the BA (Hons) Photography team as a Visit Professor.
Anastasia will be joining us on our Ipswich campus on Thursday October 10th from 1pm to 2pm for an in person talk about career and practice. This talk is open to everyone, and we encourage all our current friends, supporters and illustrious alumni to attend.
