Good Evening all,
The babies have a new water tray which is getting all the love from the staff and babies. The babies have absolutely loved splashing and learning about all the animals that are in the sea. We have been listening to the Alexa, learning all the sounds that you may find at the beach! The babies have loved clapping their hands to made the sounds of waves, even making sounds with their mouths.
The babies have also most definitely enjoyed getting messy, we have loved watching the babies discover and problem solve with the paint. Here we are painting pinecones.
I hope you enjoyed a little snippet of what we get up to over the baby side, Have a lovely evening :)

🌟 Welcome back to a new term 🌟

We have enjoyed welcoming the children back after their summer holidays and hearing all about their adventures, whilst also welcoming some new children and their families to our nursery. A very warm welcome to you all.

The children have been busy settling back into nursery life, reconnecting with their friends. making new ones and exploring some exciting new areas in our playroom.

🏠 In our Home Corner, we have a new dressing table with accessories. It has been great watching the children use their imaginations as they take on different roles and recreate familiar experiences.

🚧 Our Construction Area has also had some new additions, encouraging the children to build, create, problem-solve and work together. We have already seen some fantastic ideas and wonderful teamwork.

It has been a lovely start to the new term. 🌈✨

This week we have been celebrating the children as they find wonderful ways to work together, share our toys and show kindness to one another.

We have been busy building towers, with the children showing great concentration, independence and determination as they created their own structures.

We have also been getting creative with some vegetables that were kindly donated to us. Although they were past their shelf life, the children had lots of fun using them to print beautiful flowers and create their own works of art.

We have loved seeing the children exploring, creating, sharing and learning together. The photos capture some lovely moments capture this week in our Nursery.

What a lovely week we've had at Wellington Nursery.

We started the week with our first Summer Stay & Play session, where we welcomed parents to join their little ones for a morning of underwater-themed fun. 🐠🦀🐙 It was wonderful to see everyone exploring, creating and making special memories together.

We've also been learning all about babies by setting up our very own nursery. The children enjoyed singing songs, discussing what babies need and taking turns caring for the dolls, encouraging kindness, empathy and imaginative play. 👶

Today at Wellington Nursery, our children's interests led the way as we transformed our learning space into our very own Wellington Zoo! 🦁🐧🦖

The children worked together to plan and create different areas of the zoo, using their wonderful imaginations and developing so many skills along the way. They discussed entrance fees, designed signs, wrote tickets and even made their own money for visitors to use. 💷✍️

Some fantastic ideas came from the children themselves, including "Horsey Magic Land," alongside "Dinosaur Park" and "Polar Land, Magic Land". We even made sure our polar bear had plenty of ice to keep him happy! ❄️🐻‍❄️

The children also built a zoo entrance and created a train ride to take visitors on an exciting journey around all the different parts of the zoo. 🚂

It was wonderful to see the children using their creativity, communication, problem-solving and early writing skills through meaningful, child-led play.

🐍🦎 What an amazing day with Snakes Alive! Today we got to meet some incredible creatures, including a python, a corn snake, a lizard, two stick insects and a tortoise. We even had the chance to handle them and learn some fascinating facts about each one.

It was a fun, hands-on experience that helped us discover more about these wonderful animals. Thank you Snakes Alive for such an unforgettable visit.
