We have had a very positive first week back at nursery. On Tuesday, we visited the forest, where the children enjoyed collecting and exploring with large sticks, relaxing on the hammock, and creating their own fishing rods through imaginative play.

Back at nursery, we explored ice as part of The Colour Monster, which sparked conversations about colours and how we are feeling.

In the garden, the children worked together to create an obstacle course, incorporating balancing and jumping activities. They showed great enthusiasm and cooperation, and thoroughly enjoyed the physical challenge

This week we have had a super busy week, taking part in lots of fun activities.

On the baby side we have enjoyed mark making in flour, creating different patterns and exploring the different textures. We also made a delicious fruit salad which everyone helped to prepare, by using our fine motor skills to cut the fruit. On Wednesday the babies had a great time exploring the park, searching for bugs and we were very excited to find a ladybird! We had lots of fun playing with the parachute and exploring the park, especially the slide and swings. πŸ¦‹πŸ›πŸž

The children this week have had lots of fun, we had Bev come to read us some stories from lets talk reading. The children sat and listened very well to exciting stories. We also got involved with the books where we held a blanket tightly pretending it was a bed for the monkeys and throwing one of each time they fell out the bed. The children have also explored colours and textures this week involving painting with different tools and materials, mark making with crayons and bark and we looked at different shadows using colourful reflectors. πŸ“šπŸŒ³πŸŸ₯

This week the children have had lots of fun at nursery.

At the forest this week the children explored the soil for insects as well as mark making with sticks that we collected. We also used our imagination playing witches and motorcycles on the branches as well as climbing and balancing on the rope bridge trying not to fall off. πŸžβ˜€οΈπŸŒ³

On the big side this week we have explored cooking. The children made soup with Elouise and Lauren helping them to cut the vegetables and mix the ingredients together. The children loved having the soup with bread at snack time. πŸ… πŸ₯£πŸ²

The babies have had lots of fun this week. We tried the soup that the bigger children had made and loved dipping the bread. We had a puppet show whilst reading different stories. As well as exploring dress up pretending to be chefs, cooking dinners. πŸ“šπŸ‘¨β€πŸ³

We all celebrated world book day on Thursday dressing up as our favourite characters in our books. We made Gruffalo playdough with purple spikes, we fed the hungry caterpillar and made special book marks. We also helped Elma get his colour back and had our very own teddy bear picnic. πŸ»πŸ›πŸ“–

Good Morning Everyone !
Ashlee and Megan have had a full packed week with the babies and wanted you all to have an inside look with what they have been up to.
We had a teddy bears picnic, which the babies loved they enjoyed reading the books drinking from the tea cups and singing along together. Secondly, we also did some baking as a group the children took turns with pouring the different ingredients into the bowls. This was highly liked by all the babies they were clapping the whole time. We also had a fine motor activity which included fishing nets, frogs, Lilypad's and flowers this helped to encourage hand eye coordination, and most importantly they had a lot of fun. ( which included water ) After all that fun we got to work with some construction the children loved getting dressed up in their protective clothing and using all the different tools. Finally, we put the tent up and read some lovely stories which the babies pointed to each page and made the animal sounds. We also got up to much more but here is just a few.
I hope you enjoyed having a seek peak at what goes on over the baby side! Have a lovely weekend.
