The Emma Dodd School of Performing Arts have now opened their books for the new term!

The Emma Dodd School of Performing Arts is a fully qualified, DBS checked school for children and adults of all ages.

The School was officially opened in October 2009 by West End star Michael Ball. Nearly 16 years ago!!!

Based in Ipswich, Suffolk the School proudly boasts over 90 students of all ages and abilities. The School offers a rounded training in Musical Theatre with the aim of every student becoming a “triple threat Performer”, which means being equally skilled at every aspect of showmanship; singing, dancing and acting.

The School presents an annual showcase at Danceeast, a highlight of the School’s Calender!

Taught by a team of industry professionals, the School is the ideal place for students looking to further a career in the arts. Our aim is to build the students confidence, make new friendships, develop technical skills and above all have fun in a warm, safe environment, perfect for learning.

This class aims to develop students Jazz technique and style. Classes consist of warm ups, core strengthening and technical exercises culminating in choreographed routines designed to inspire and challenge. Classes are very popular as a result.

Students require a high level of technical proficiency to successfully deliver stylised and dramatic sequences. Classes enable the students to build core strength, gain stamina and confidence whilst developing the resilience required for the modern day performer.

Classes are available at Intermediate and Advanced Levels.

This summer we are celebrating our 15 year anniversary! How is that even possible! 15 years since Michael Ball opened our School in an exciting ceremony!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

We are hoping to hold a gala performance at DanceEast on Sunday 23rd June to welcome back our graduate students over the years!! We’ve had an incredible journey over that time and are so proud of the students that have passed through the School!
