Celebrating Black History Month at Piper's Vale! 📚🎨

What is Black History Month all about? It’s about ensuring that the vital achievements, breakthroughs, and voices of Black and Mixed Heritage historical figures—often overlooked in traditional history books—are highlighted, remembered, and celebrated.

In school, over the coming weeks, we will be celebrating the achievements of Black and Mixed Heritage people in the past and present.

Hola! 🇪🇸 Our Year 6 students have been diving into their Spanish lessons with so much enthusiasm! 🖐️✨

Using interactive activities on the big screen, the class was super engaged—practicing new vocabulary, and building their confidence speaking a new language. It’s wonderful to see their enthusiasm for learning about different cultures!

In the SEU, the children have also enjoyed a large-scale collaborative mark making activity, exploring different colours and a range of creative tools.

This has provided opportunities for the children to make choices, explore cause and effect, develop fine motor skills and express themselves creatively alongside their peers.
