TRANSITION DONE RIGHT

FAO: Y6 pupils attending Ipswich Academy transition days tomorrow and Thursday.
Due to Amber weather warning, uniform requirements and timings of the day have changed for Y6 pupils.
-The sessions will end at 14:15 on both transition days.
-Pupils are invited to wear polo shirt and shorts ( as part of normal uniform) and suitable footwear.
-Pupils need to bring a water bottle and a hat.
- Please apply sunscreen ( can bring to school, so reapply).
- Option for pupils to stay in at break and lunch.

Well done to the children who represented the school at the Premier League Football Event and the Suffolk Schools Netball Festival.
We had two fantastic teams that, despite the heat, worked incredibly hard and represented Piper's Vale brilliantly.

Due to the hot weather, there will be no after school clubs on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday of this week.

The weather forecast for next week is ranging between 24-33 degrees!
Please send children to school with a hat , a water bottle and apply sunscreen before school.
Children are welcome to wear P.E. kit this week ( black shorts and white T-shirt/ polo shirt).
No football kits please.
We may have shorter breaks outside next week( this will be decided daily and will be weather dependent) and there will be classrooms available for children to come in to at break and lunch.

Year 3 are making fantastic use of their laptops to support their learning!

SPORTY SCHOOL

Reception have been exploring number bonds to numbers within 10 using Numicon, they have done so well and have even written the sum in their books.

Our Year 5 pupils are diving into Silverfin by Charlie Higson to sharp-tune their reading comprehension skills!
They are traveling back to the 1930s with a 13-year-old James Bond as he uncovers a dangerous mystery in the Scottish Highlands. From matching vocabulary to decoding plots, the students are loving the high-stakes action of their latest class reader. It is fantastic to see them mastering so many different comprehension question types with this thrilling 007 origin story!
