KWMCC are proud to announce a project that we know will be close to many people’s hearts...

We had the idea to work with CHAPS to bring FREE prostate cancer screening to KWMCC, providing 50 free screening spaces for local men.

A huge thank you to our General Manager, Stuart Lawson, whose work with East Suffolk Council and their Communities Budget Team helped us secure the funding to make this important project possible.

Thank you too to Sonia and the CHAPS team for working with us and helping to get everything set up.

FREE PROSTATE CANCER SCREENING
Thursday 15th October 2026
10am–2pm
Kesgrave Community Centre
Twelve Acre Approach, Kesgrave, Ipswich, IP5 1JF

The screening involves a simple PSA blood test and is available for men aged 40–80 who are not already on treatment or under care for a known prostatic condition.

There are 50 FREE spaces available.
IMPORTANT: You must book an appointment in advance. There will be NO walk-ins.

To book your FREE test:
Visit chaps.uk.com/book-event-main
Scroll down the event list and select the Kesgrave event.
You must print and bring your appointment confirmation with you.
FREE parking is available on site here at KWMCC.

We’re incredibly proud to be able to bring an initiative like this to our community and hope these free screenings will encourage more men to take an important step towards looking after their health.

Early detection saves lives, and we’re delighted to be able to play our part in making screening more accessible to local people.

This project is brought to you by Kesgrave War Memorial Community Centre (KWMCC), with funding from East Suffolk Council and their Communities Budget Team, working in partnership with CHAPS. CHAPS will be accepting donations on the day, if you wish to donate.

Here’s to making a difference together and helping our community!
