I have over 20 years experience of teaching singing to children and adults of all ages covering a variety of genres such as musical theatre, pop, rock, classical, jazz and folk including ABRSM, Rock School and London Trinity exam curriculums. I create and develop exercises specifically tailored to each student's individual vocal ability and development needs. I aim to increase confidence and develop skills in all aspects of voice production and performance skills, in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. I trained initially in Southampton in singing, dance, acting and violin and went on to gain a first class BA Hons degree in Performing Arts at Suffolk University. I come from a background of performing in musical theater productions throughout East Anglia, having enjoyed numerous principal roles over the last 30 plus years. I have a total of 16 years experience of working with two Stagecoach Theatre Arts performing arts schools (Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds) as well as teaching privately for over 20 years. I have taught regularly at numerous primary and secondary schools around Suffolk and currently still work with St Albans Catholic High School. I was founder and MD of the Endeavour Singers (Suffolk County Council workplace choir) which ran for over 10 years. I have worked with, fund raised and organised concerts for local charities such Brave Futures (formerly Fresh Starts - new beginnings). In my spare time I love acapella singing and am Deputy MD for the Ipswich based, Stellar Acapella who perform throughout East Anglia. I have a full DBS and Chaperone Licence
