Recently, students from years 7 to 10 took part in a Music Industry Workshop. Students worked alongside professional musicians and recording artists to write their own song and perform it. Students were also treated to a performance and Q&A session from a local recording artist.

Last week we took ten Year 9 students to the local Athletics competition and what a competition it was. Well done to all students involved - incredible efforts from all who attended!

We took 100 year 8 pupils to watch England vs Iceland at Wembley stadium and what an experience it was! We were thrilled to be supporting England in the run up to the Euros and hope they have a successful tournament!

Our Business studies students visited Clip n Climb to see how the business was set up and how it is being developed. There was also time for them to try out the climbing walls to experience the physical side of the business for themselves.

Yesterday some of our students visited Adastral Park. They learnt about the Internet of Things and were challenged to think about how some of the technologies could be used to improve their communities. They enjoyed BT technology showcases about robotics and drones - a real taste of the future!

Please remember to wear your school uniform and bring a packed lunch, unless you are eligible for free school meals.
There will be a presentation evening at 6pm on 27 June for parents and carers. There is no need to book, but we do ask that siblings remain at home with alternative care where possible as we anticipate a large number of attendees and we would like to welcome as many parents as possible.

Recently we held our annual careers fair which gave students the chance to interact with employers, training providers and local post-16 education organisations. Students were able to get an insight into various job sectors, as well as find out about what opportunities are available to them when they complete secondary education. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved with the careers fair which was a big success!

A select collection of our committed Year 9 Drama students took part in a workshop on Wednesday with the Wolsey Theatre. These students are in the process of creating their own performance that they will be performing on stage at the Wolsey Theatre later this year. The project is based on the effects of climate change and the students came up with some excellent ideas on how to present this, so keep your eyes peeled for tickets!
