Huge congratulations to our February half-term Red Carpet Award winners! 🏆
We are so very proud of you ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Some of our students are currently enjoying a short residential trip to Grafham Water Centre, near Huntingdon, where they are experiencing the excitement and thrills of outdoor activities such as canoeing, high/low ropes and cycling, as well as honing their wilderness and team building skills!
A reminder that we have two coffee afternoons for parents/carers coming up this week:
•Primary School - Thursday (6th Feb) 1:45-2:45pm
•High School - Friday (7th Feb) 1:45-2:45pm
The afternoon aims to give you the opportunity to meet with other parents/carers of children at the school who are of a similar age.
We hope it will be a great way for you to network with each other and share information about your local community e.g. clubs, activities or any services that you have found to be helpful.
We look forward to seeing you there 🤗☕️🧁
It was wonderful to meet Jack Abbott, MP for Ipswich, when he visited the school today to meet our students and discuss his daily duties as a representative in the House of Commons.
During his visit, he joined one of our Key Stage 4 English lessons and spoke about his connections to the educational provisions in his constituency. He also spent time with our primary Kingfishers class, even participating in a fine motor skills activity!
It was a pleasure to meet you Jack – thank you for taking the time to stop by! 😃
A reminder that pupils are invited to wear something blue tomorrow (Friday 24th) in honor of our wonderful Mrs Arbon and everything she did for us all here at Stone Lodge 💙💙💙
We received a lovely letter from FIND this week, who were able to distribute 500 food hampers and gifts over the Christmas period, due to the generosity of everybody that donated goods.
A big thank you to all of our SLA friends and family who supported this appeal!
We had an absolutely fantastic time on our whole school trip yesterday when we visited New Wolsey Theatre to watch a relaxed version of their rock ‘n’ roll panto ‘Sleeping Beauty’.
We had a special introduction to the characters before the show and also got to have a dance with them afterwards! We got to see all of the costumes that they would be wearing during the performance and had some booing and cheering practice. They also gave us a preview of the special effects used within the show, so we knew when to expect any flashes or bangs!
A massive thank you to Happy Days Children's Charity for generously funding the outing once again. We are hugely grateful!
***A REMINDER***
We will be attending the relaxed performance of the Rock & Roll Pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, at the Wolsey Theatre on Wednesday 15th January.
Please can children bring a packed lunch, which will be eaten at the theatre during the interval.
For those children who have a free school meal, a packed lunch will be provided by the school. They will still need to bring a drink.
There will be no hot dinners available.
Our older students will walk to the theatre as part of their life skills programme, weather permitting.
Please ensure they have sensible shoes and coats.
***PARENT VIEW SURVEY***
Thank you to those who completed the Parent View Survey issued before Christmas.
Following feedback, I have made some amendments to the question formats, which hopefully makes it more accessible.
Your views are really important to us and we hope as many of you as possible will take a couple of minutes to complete the survey.
Thank you in advance.

❄️☃️WINTER LUNCH MENU☃️❄️
Our very last post before we sign off for the Christmas break…..🎄
A huge congratulations to all of our Christmas 2024 Red Carpet Award winners! 🏆
Each one of you has been chosen for working hard, trying your best, following the school rules and being an excellent example to your peers! We are so proud of you all 🌟⭐️🌟
We hope you all have a peaceful and enjoyable Christmas and we look forward to welcoming you back to school on Tuesday 7th January 2025!
This afternoon we held our traditional Stone Lodge Academy Christmas staff panto, which this year was Robin Hood 🎯
We had a full cast playing the parts which included Robin, Maid Marian, The Sheriff of Nottingham and who could forget the wonderful Tina the Cleaner?!
There was lots of laughter, booing & cheering, as well as the much-loved water pistols and cream pies! (Apologies to Miss Zocchi!)
We hope you all enjoyed it!
A huge congratulations to everyone that took part in this afternoon’s Christmas Carol Concert at St Joseph’s School chapel.
What absolute superstars you all were! ⭐️🤩⭐️

There are lots of very exciting Christmas festivities happening all around school this week but today our Primary students had an extra special visitor! 🎅🏼
As you can see, there were lots of very happy faces when Father Christmas took time out of his busy schedule, to drop into their Christmas party and deliver a special present to everyone 🎁
As part of our Arts Award program, our Key Stage 4 students had the exciting opportunity to attend an immersive screening at the Battery of Ideas in Lowestoft yesterday.
The show focused on exploring the natural world within a digital creative environment, offering students a unique and thought-provoking experience that merges nature with cutting-edge technology in an engaging and dynamic way.
Congratulations to all of the raffle drawer winners!
Prizes will be making their way home to you shortly! 🎁
