Marycliff Piano Lessons is a partnership consisting of Clifford and Maryvonne Evans who offer one-to-one piano lessons at Ipswich UK (about 80 minutes from London),either for examination work (Associated Board) or purely for pleasure. Clifford caters for children aged 10 and adult beginners up to any standard, as well as advanced students studying for diplomas. Maryvonne caters for child beginners from aged five upwards and uses her special skills of umderstanding children and make them feel comfortable in the teaching situation. She has more than 20 years astounding exam results on file - most of them distinctions and merits and her pupils get many compliments from the schools which they attend. All styles of music are supported and lessons are tailored to the needs of the student, once the basics have been covered. The method is a combination of the English, Russian and French Schools of pianism, brought together by Maryvonne and Clifford's specialist understanding of piano technique which aims to help the student achieve an efficient technique whilst producing a beautiful sound with melodic control and as little effort as possible. Both Clifford and Maryvonne are members of the ISM (Incorporated Society of Musicians). They have gained ISM Registered Teacher Status as a result of providing the necessary references, agree to adhere to the ISM Code of
Practice for Private Music Teachers and have obtained a CRB Enhanced Disclosure through the ISM for the role of Private Music Teacher.
