In Leappad we have been looking at changing habitats of animals and how animals adapt to these changes and the pupils drew some pictures which showed adaptations that would allow animals to live in new habitats.
We have also been writing about Humanism and the pupils have been discussing their own ideas and sharing views about where the universe came from, how life formed and about morals (if they are influenced by nature or nurture).

Year 4 had their parent share recently where everyone was invited to participate in lessons in their first year at Hogwarts.
We learnt how to levitate a feather, play wizards chess and write our own spells after we caught our acceptance letters as they flew to us. Thank you to all adults who came and made the event special.

Leappad 2 pupils were looking at genetic variation in science this term. They used coin flips to randomly select from the characteristics and physical features of two parent aliens which resulted in the set of siblings they were able to draw.
The students really enjoyed seeing variation in practice and it really deepened their understanding on the topic and led to fantastic discussions around inherited and non-inherited characteristics.
