Celebrating Creativity at OBH: The Art & CT Exhibition (Part 2)

Our annual Creative Technologies (CT) exhibit brought together an impressive display of pupil ingenuity, technical skill, and practical problem-solving across Years 3 through 8.

The exhibition highlighted a seamless blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern manufacturing across woodwork, electronics, textiles, CAD/CAM, and engineering:

Years 3 & 4: Demonstrated foundational engineering principles through hands-on STEM steady hand games, wooden puzzles, and tailored textiles.

Years 5 & 6: Combined CAD/CAM software with precision manufacturing to produce sleek, laser-cut acrylic pencil stands alongside traditional timber bird boxes.

Years 7 & 8: Presented advanced electronics and technical textiles, featuring custom-designed bucket hats and complex architectural concept models.

The school was transformed at the end of term into a vibrant gallery for our annual Art & CT Exhibition, displaying over 900 pieces to celebrate the incredible creativity, imagination, and hard work of our pupils, from Pre-Prep right through to Year 8.

From vibrant drawings and expressive paintings to striking sculptures, ceramics, and bold self-portraits (inspired by Julian Opie’s iconic Blur album cover), the range of artistic techniques on display was fantastic.

Speech Day 2026

Speech Day marked the culmination of another exceptional year at Old Buckenham Hall.

The day was filled with celebration, beginning with addresses from our Headmaster Mr James Large and Chair of Governors Mr Philip Howell, alongside fantastic speeches from our Head Boy Rufus and Head Girl Martha.

We were incredibly privileged to welcome West End star as our Guest Speaker, who moved the marquee with a stunning performance of 'I Dreamed a Dream' from .

Independent Boarding School of the Year - Commended!

We are thrilled to announce that Old Buckenham Hall has been commended in the category of Boarding School of the Year at the Independent School of the Year Awards!

A massive thank you to our exceptional staff and wonderful boarders who make our community so uniquely special.

Pre-Prep Sports Day! 🏃‍♂️

From the classic egg-and-spoon race to the long jump, our athletes gave it their absolute all, cheered on by a wonderful crowd of families on the sidelines.

The competitive spirit didn't stop with our pupils, though—parents and staff threw themselves into their respective races, providing plenty of inspiration (and laughter) for our pupils! Huge congratulations to everyone for showing fantastic sportsmanship, determination, and plenty of team spirit throughout the day.
