📚 Summer Holiday Activity 📚

Felixstowe Book Hunt which is organised by Gracie's Gorgeous Books is returning this summer holiday and is a free activity which helps encourage children to get out and about but also enhance reading skills.

From July 29th, lots of different books will be hidden around the local area ready for children to go out and find, once found you can then take it home to read and the re-hide for another child to find and enjoy.

Temperatures are going to be extremely high on Monday and Tuesday please be assured that we will still be open and the nursery manager and staff are used to ensuring childrens safety during the hot weather. There is going to be lots of water/ice play and lots of cool water to keep us hydrated (there may even be the odd ice lolly! 😋) if you feel your child will not cope in the heat and you are planning on keeping them at home then please let the staff team know! Please remember to bring hats and suncream and also please dress your children in loose fitting clothes! Have fun and stay safe 😊

SAFEGUARDING ALERT - 'HUGGY WUGGY'

It has been brought to our attention that on YouTube there is a character called 'Huggy Wuggy'. The creature has long arms, legs and rows of sharp teeth. Although the name seems harmless it is a video which talks about death and whispers horrible things in your ear when giving hugs. They also sing songs, with lyrics that are not appropriate for children.

Due to its name 'Huggy Wuggy' is able to get through blocks at home and YouTube's own filtering system.

Please make sure that you are aware of what your children are watching online, as this could be extremely distressing for your child should they see it.

So Today , what a day. The staff and the children have created something called PIZZA FRIDAY!!! We made pizza wraps and devoured them, we wrote out a list of instructions about how to make them. Quoted from a child 'THIS IS THE BEST PIZZA EVER!!!'.
