World Earth Day 🌍
This week we have been looking at and learning about all of the different ways we can look after the planet. We did lots of activities and crafts, which the children loved! The different ways the children came up with, were 'turning off the taps to save water', 'turning off the lights to save electricity', 'putting our rubbish in the bin and not on the floor' 'putting our rubbish in the recycling so that we can use it again', 'putting our rubbish in the bin at the beach so that it does not go in the sea and make the animals poorly. We also learnt about how elephants and bees are very important for our planet.

What a lovely afternoon making rock buns. All the children got to mix all the ingredients and creat their own delicious rock cake to take home 😛

Today we have been looking at the story Superworm. We had some gooey worms to search for in the soil. The children helped to add some wildlife/bugs to the worms to celebrate World Wildlife Day. We also looked at the book Jack and the Beanstalk and the children planted their own runner bean to take home. The children also decorated their own bookmark to take home.
What a lovely day.

We will be celebrating World Book Day next week (for the whole week) so please let your children dress as their favourite book characters if they would like to. We will be giving all the children book tokens that can be swapped for a book in several bookshops.

This week we have been celebrating the Lunar New Year! We have had some lovely themed activities around the different colours, celebrating the year of the horse and learning about China. The children all had an opportunity to try some Chinese food! The noodles, rice and prawn crackers were enjoyed a lot! 🇨🇳🎆🐲

A lovely pizza making afternoon. The children had great fun choosing their ingredients and making their very own pizza 🍕. Look how delicious they turned out.
