Our ‘Class of 26’ went out in style celebrating the end of their final school year with their families and staff by enjoying their year 11 prom.

What a fabulous night they all had!

🏃‍♀️🌟 Celebrating Our First Ever Active Week! 🌟🏃‍♂️
This term, Thomas Wolsey Ormiston Academy proudly held its first-ever Active Week, a whole-school celebration of physical activity, inclusion and personal achievement.
Throughout the week, pupils took part in an exciting programme of activities designed to encourage everyone to be active, try their best, have fun and work together. Whether trying a new sport, developing teamwork skills or celebrating personal milestones, every pupil had the opportunity to experience success in a way that was meaningful to them.
We were delighted to welcome a fantastic range of external providers from DanceEast, MakingFitnessAccessible and Orwell Panthers, who shared their expertise, enthusiasm and passion for physical activity. Their sessions inspired our pupils to challenge themselves, build confidence and discover new ways to enjoy being active.
A particular highlight of the week was receiving personalised good luck video messages from Olympic Bronze Medallist and Team GB athlete Toby Harries and professional footballer Jack Baldwin. Their inspiring words encouraged our pupils to embrace every challenge, believe in themselves and enjoy every moment of Active Week.
Across the academy, we saw pupils achieving things they hadn't done before; building confidence, supporting their friends, developing resilience and, most importantly, having fun while being active. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, so much determination and a real sense of achievement throughout the week.
A huge thank you goes to our staff, external providers, families and everyone who helped make our very first Active Week such a memorable success. We are incredibly proud of all of our pupils and can't wait to build on this fantastic event in the years to come!

Today, some of our pupils celebrated their success at the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze ceremony.
They have all worked so hard to achieve this massive goal.

It was so lovely to see family enjoy our 3rd Enterprise Summer Fayre with their children. Our classes entrepreneurial skills show cased a variety of different games, activities and handmade crafts. Funds raised will go towards assistive technology

Huge congratulations to all our fantastic finalists who took part in our 4th Ormiston Got Talent competition. It was wonderful to see such a wide variety of different talents, and we were very impressed with how confident everyone was.

Come on ENGLAND!

Some of our pupils wanted to show their support for England in the World Cup! It was a great win last night and lets hope we make it all the way to the final.

A massive well done to our fabulous mud runners who raised over £2500 for cancer and the weekend - had lots of fun - and all in a heat wave - well done!!

The Silver DofE group spent last Friday night at TWOA outside The Hive as part of their accreditation. They were asked to set up tents, a gazebo and cook jackets and pizzas from scratch.

A fabulous evening enjoyed by all - a real team effort!

We have just found out that the author that visited us last week, Kate Rolfe has just been awarded the Carnegie Award for illustration for Wiggling Words. I have attached the article if anyone is interested in reading.
